This stuff is awesome! Like many reviewers here, I was at wits end with persistent BV. I'd had it for over a year, and my ex husband even cited it as a reason for leaving (that I smelled like rotten fish) after he left, and we were trying to talk things over. Needless to say I was determined to do something about it, now that my divorce is final and I want to date again. I also had been through the cycle of antibiotics, relief, yeast infection flare up, treat that, have my period, back to BV. It was miserable. Nothing has worked and I've been at wits end and I haven't wanted to subject a new boyfriend to the smell, the discharge, everything disgusting that comes with BV. So I've avoided dating because of it. I had read about using boric acid as a treatment many times. I ordered it early this week and it arrived Wednesday morning. I also ordered the 00 gel caps recommended by other reviewers. I made a bunch of capsules of the boric acid (just straight - no fillers or other oils added). I inserted one up there yesterday during the day, and then 2 more last night. Today, there is a 75% reduction in odor from "down there." Tonight I will do 2 more and I'll continue that for 7 days and see what happens. But I am amazed already, and I feel so much better. I can go out in public today and not worry about the smell! For the first time in ages! From what I understand, BV may not ever completely go away - and some women may have to maintain this by doing boric acid treatment once a week or every few days for life. I am totally OK with that. If the odor is gone, that's 95% of the battle in my book. I love the idea of not worrying about the smell if intimacy comes up in the future. I will try to remember and come back and update in 2 weeks or so, after I've done a full week of nightly BV suppository, and have had my period (which I will treat with boric acid at the end of the cycle, so that BV doesn't come back due to the alkaline nature of menstrual flow). But as of now - highly recommend this product for feminine health. THANK GOD for boric acid, and for no longer trying to fight BV with doctor visits, copays, and prescriptions!

Let me tell you my story after trying this product. I recently got bv fist time in my life, i though it was a yeast infection which I've never had before either, so i treated it as such. I saw a bit of improvement but then after a week or so I would go back to the same symptoms, and worse. I thought I was done for, that I've gotten some type of cancer or a really bad bacteria. So I Googled to see if I could find whatever the heck was causing my V to feel horrible and found out maybe it was bv, and still found no home remedies to cure it. And having no medical insurance didn't help either so I couldn't get antibiotics without an rx. So I decided to wait until December to get my company's insurance, if I made it there without more health complications. Finally after 3 months or so my situation got out of hand, I had abdominal pain felt swollen every day, had a bugging discharge Which also smelled kinda fishy (that was my clue to finding out it was bv) and the last day before inserting this boric acid, I got a such a big cramp I went to the bathroom too pee and blood came out (and no, it was not my period). So I thought the worst; I've got pelvic inflammatory disease, this is serious idk what to do anymore. I went home to start preparing the pills with this acid which arrived that same day, and inserted the 1st one at night. Next morning, I felt no pain, still a little bit swollen, a transparent, clean discharge (which I think was the boric acid itself) and the best: no fishy smell at all. A huge improvement. So I kept using it for a whole week, and bv was not showing any signs of coming back! To this day, I feel amazing, but I haven't stopped using it. I still need to see how I'm doing after one period, and after being with my fiance to see if the bacteria comes back. I'm hoping not, but it's t oooh soon to say it worked completely. I'll update this as I get more results

***update*** I've been using this product about twice a month for 5 months now and I haven't had BV or a yeast infection since purchasing. MUST BUY ***UPDATE*** its been a couple months since I’ve bought this product. It’s amazing guys. I haven’t had a yeast infection since I started using this and prior I had yeast infections EVERY WEEK. When i first bought the product, I used it for 7 days straight. i got complete relief after ONLY 2 Days of using it. But, i used it for 7 to ensure that all the yeast was gone. after 7 days i used twice a week, then once a week, now i’m down to twice a month. i honestly don’t ever feel like i’ll stop using the product even though i haven’t had a yeast infection. i’ll probably use it every month after my period is over. I’m seeing a lot of BV reviews but not quite to many YI reviews. Let me tell you all something. I’ve had recurring yeast infections every week for almost a year. EVERY SINGLE WEEK i would get yeast infections. I would go to the gyno and of course they would give me the same antibiotics that only made it come back even worse. I tried everything from oils to ACV and nothing seemed to work. monistat burned quite frankly and i was tired of spending $20 a week on it. So after doing tons of research i came across this. I MADE OVER 200 CAPSULES WITH THIS POWDER GUYS! So much better than buying 30 pre-made capsules for $18. I used it and felt relief the same day and my yeast infection was gone by the 3rd day of using it. it’s only been a week and it hasn’t recurred but i plan on using these suppositories once a week and then eventually once a month after my period for the remainder of my life lol! Small Miracles Make A Big Difference
Read this at your own risk. It may be a little TMI for some, but I think it's helpful information. I'll start off by saying there's no such thing as medical grade boric acid. Boric acid is just boric acid. I saw a couple people asking whether this was "medical grade" and safe to use as an eye wash because of all the warnings on the bottle. There aren't different formulas, it is what it is. I did A LOT of reading on boric acid, including the MSDS safety sheet, and the gist of everything I read was DON'T inhale it, DON'T eat it, and DON'T use it on broken skin. Also, try to get past the warnings. Don't ignore them completely, just remember acid isn't always a bad/scary thing. Lady parts are naturally acidic, your muscles produce lactic acid when you exercise, and your body needs amino acids to function. Boric acid is a weak acid, and is considered to be no more toxic than table salt when used topically. Just remember, even though salt is tasty and most of us would consider it harmless, it too can cause health problems or even be lethal. Think of boric acid the same way. Moderation is always key. The first thing I used this for was to act as an emulsifier with beeswax to make some skin cream. Mission accomplished. The next thing I used it for was a stubborn yeast infection. I had a hysterectomy 2 years ago (at the age of 27) and have been struggling with surgical menopause. This means I'm in hormone Hades, with stubborn weight gain and severe hot flashes. This led to a chronic infection that 3 doses of Diflucan and all the Monistat in the world couldn't fix. After reading up on how to to use this for yeast infections, I got some NOW Foods "00" gelatin capsules. The recommendations I found said to fill the capsules with nothing but the powder, but some women complained this led to some irritation since boric acid can dehydrate and just generally annoy the skin a bit. So, I dissolved 2 tablespoons of the acid in a block of cocoa butter about the size of a wadded up kleenex using a makeshift double boiler, (a pot of water with a pie tin in it). After everything was dissolved, I poured the mixture into a dixie cup and then dribbled the liquid into the gel caps. I used maybe 20 capsules and put the remaining mixture in a glass jar so I could re-melt it in a pot of water later to make more suppositories. (If your'e going to use this method, let the liquid cool a bit because you will inevitably get some on your hands). A friend of mine asked, "why cocoa butter?" It's non-irritating, a great soothing moisturizer, and melts on contact with skin, much like name brand yeast infection suppositories. You want the suppositories to dissolve with your body heat, not drip all over or stay a solid block. This worked LIKE A DREAM. The next day there was NO itching, NO yeast odor, NO discharge and NO irritation. Much to my surprise, this little concoction worked on another problem. Any woman that's used a vaginal suppository knows that what goes in is eventually going to come back out. In the middle of the night, when the gel cap dissolved and the mix freed itself from my lady area, it coated my outer lady area. This wasn't anything special until I noticed that my stubborn "down there" sweat odor was completely gone, and it stayed gone for the entire day, even through a series of hot flashes that soaked my clothes. This was enough to make me jump for joy. After the previous discovery, I had another crazy idea. Maybe this is just an issue for overweight people, but my belly button smells awful, (yes, I've checked it before, don't judge me). I made more of my cocoa butter/boric acid mixture and added some olive oil to make it creamy, but this time let is set up in an old makeup jar instead of putting it in a capsule. It cooled off into a nice spreadable cream which I promptly smeared in my belly button. After a day, ONE DAY, no more odor. I won't go into too much detail, but I've been using this cream on other problem areas that sweat profusely throughout the day with the same success. Boric acid hasn't cured my hot flashes, but it has certainly taken a lot of paranoia in social settings out of my life. Last but not least, I made a mix of boric acid and hot water to kill some mold in my bathroom. My next project will be dissolving it in some corn syrup to help with a friend's ant infestation. Boric acid is a valuable tool that has hundreds of uses. Whether you're thinking about using it for hygiene, acne, eye infections, athlete's foot, yeast, jock itch, mold, ants, roaches, mice, laundry.... whatever, don't hesitate. Just make sure you do a little research first on what you're going to use it for. A little creative tinkering can take you a long way with this product.

Amazing! There is hope for BV/YI!
I must first thank all of the woman who posted reviews before me! Without your testimonies I would NEVER have been brave enough to try this product to treat my persistent BV/YI. I suffered for way too long and had tried both prescription and over the counter remedies, only to have the condition return time and time again. I thought it was going to drive me crazy and that I would never feel normal again. I bought this product and the Now 00 empty veg-capsules and filled them by hand. After reading several different treatment suggestions, I decided that I would try inserting one capsule per night for three weeks. I then took a break for one week and repeated inserting one capsule per night for a second three week period. (In retrospect, I probably could have used a much shorter course of treatment, but I wanted to make sure it was completely gone) It was amazing how well this product worked. I could tell a difference after the first week,and by the second course of treatment, the BV/YI had completely cleared up. That was over six months ago and the condition has remained under control. I will still insert one capsule after sex just as a preventive treatment. It is truly amazing how well this works, no more embarrassing doctor visits or expensive treatments that don't work!! If it wasn't so embarrassing to talk about I would run through the streets yelling the praises of Boric Acid!! Side note- I also used this product to get rid of the ants in my kitchen. I mixed one capsule worth of Boric Acid with about a teaspoon of honey and left it in a small plastic cup on a window sill where I often saw ants. The ants just loved it and for about a week the cup was full of ants coming and going. After that week the number of ants dwindled until there were none. I left the cup on the sill and every now and then I would have a straggler come through, never to return.

...for abusing my vagina AND wallet for the past six years. Six years of copays, antibiotics, creams, gels, otc, bank breaking "treatments". I developed BV when I was pregnant with my son and have suffered ever since up until 4 hours ago. I also bought the 00 veggie caps to make suppositories, filled those bad boys up and inserted just one as far as I could. I'm going to keep up a 3 day regimen and use them for maintenance if I need them but I'm ecstatic to report that the odor that has given me actual nightmares has disappeared. I have my life back! I can go to the gym and wear dresses without having to constantly worry if anyone else can smell that. I would cry right now but I'm waiting for my husband to come home so we can have crazy nasty (but not stanky) sex. Ladies, please don't hesitate, you don't have to suffer or compromise with vaginosis. Punch your doctor in the face and order boric acid. First, thank you everyone who took the time out of their day to write such detailed reviews to help individuals like myself! I've been suffering with recurrent yeast infections for almost four (4) years now. Recently, I started realizing that I was also getting BV like once a month. Every time I would have sex with my boyfriend (who I've been with for almost 4 years), I would get a YI. Being that I've had the yeast infection for so long I feel like I've tried EVERYTHING; Nystatin pills, fluconazole (never worked I don't know why they offer this nonsense) and everything in the "nazole" family, garlic, yogurt, hydrogen peroxide; you name it, I've tried. It'll go away and then come right back. When I started getting the BV infections, I really started to get depressed. I would cry in the shower, cry myself to sleep... Asking why me why me... I've heard of boric acid a very long time ago but there wasn't enough research on this for me to actually give it a try. I definitely didn't want to put acid up there to upset my PH even more. One day on the NYC train I googled boric acid and this came up.. I clicked on it and started reading every single review and I'm glad I did! The same day, I ordered this product, vegetable 00 capsules, and some organic coconut oil. When I received my shipment, I filed up like 70 capsules within like 30 minutes and inserted one at night time (I rub the coconut oil on the exterior of the capsule and on the outside of vagina). I woke up the next morning soaked! I really should have wore a liner... It is now four days later and I'm so shocked that I feel this great. I feel fresh and nice and clean. My boyfriend and I recently had sex and that is the reason for my recurrence... but not this time! I'm clean! Although I feel great, I'm going to continue it for the 7-days, and then start inserting 1-2 per week. I use a probiotic pill once a day as well, I will continue to do so being that boric acid "resets" your vaginal PH. Its ashamed that I've been to so many doctors and specialist and not one of them ever mentioned this to me, I could have saved so much stress & money!! I've suffered "down there" from when I was about 12, until 3 years ago at 35, when I started using this miracle pill. I tried monistat 7 dozens of times I'm sure, metronidazole gel repeatedly, Diflucan, Vinegar Washes, Vinegar Douche, going on a sugar free diet, even SWALLOWING cups of Apple Cider Vinager EACH DAY, to get this pH of mine normal. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, worked, (unless you count the WEEK that the prescriptions "worked"). Going to the doctors always resulted in the same thing; more head scratching, more prescriptions, and more ,"Will that be credit card or cash?" I did some more research, and can't remember where I first found boric acid as a remedy for lady issues. After fruitless searches for it in stores, I decided to wing it and look online. I was relieved (and a bit amused), that 95% of the 5 star reviews are from long-suffering ladies like myself. I tried it for myself, with the 00 capsules and a pill filler I found on here, and never touched Monistat 7 again. Free at last!!!😀 I HAVE been off it for 2 years (pregnancy/nursing my last daughter). I do not recommend it for pregnancy/breastfeeding (it is Roach Poison, after all). Its not to be taken orally. But my daughter is weaned, and I will say I can't wait to get back to my regimen when I feel "off" down there. Order this $11 bottle of miracles. Your new life awaits you! 😀

Who doesn't want to kill a Cockroach?
I have rented most of my life,and have learned a great deal about taking care of business. Cockroaches are one of the easier and most common problems to solve. Boric acid(only in powder form) is certain death to roaches of any kind. One may simply dust powder where they've seen roaches or their droppings. Do not dust where pets or children may touch or consume the white powder. I bought 3 bottles of Boric Acid on Amazon so that I would have it anytime that I need it. I'm happy with my pure clean product and look forward to its future use, Should any of those ugly guys appear. This process works fast because roaches are clean bugs. They clean each other which is why the BA works so fast. The roach returns to his nest with BA which the other roaches clean off and in turn all die from the poisonous consumption of their worst nightmare "BORIC ACID"

The BV cure that doctors won't tell you about
Like many people, I've been suffering with BV for years and years. I won't go into theories about how the medical field is a captive audience to the pharmaceutical companies. But this cure here is natural, fast, over the counter and DIY - why on earth would 3 different OB/GYNs during at least 10 separate visits never even mention it to me? Baffling. Anyway, I stumbled across boric acid suppositories as a treatment for BV here on Amazon - completely by accident. I began buying the suppositries pre-made.. Worked like a charm but very expensive. Then I realized I could easily make the suppositries myself at an incredible savings. So that is where this product comes in. Along with this, I purchased 1000 '0' size empty capsules. I put on some latex gloves (the PH on our skin is higher than the PH of boric acid, and since the idea is to bring our PH level down, contact with skin could potentially reduce effectiveness), poured the boric acid in a baggie and started filling capsules. Simple, but also if you wish there are kits that you can buy to fill these capsules easier. The mistake we make is thinking that after using a few suppositories and we see that our symptoms are gone.. We are home free. Not so, at least in my experience. Other reviewers have listed their regimen after years and years of suffering, and it would behoove anyone to read their first hand accounts since again, the doctor won't be filling you in on this kind of treatment. One last thing - if you are here you probably don't care for the antibiotic used to treat BV - Flagyl. That alone never worked for me, I did many rounds of it with no avail. However, there may be a benefit to taking a round of Flagyl along with the boric acid suppositories if you have newly been effected with BV. The problem you run into there is the cost of a doctor's visit, the co-pay or maybe you don't have insurance and couldn't possibly afford these things. Funny thing, Flagyl and other antibiotics are not available over the counter in the US, but if your fish came down with a bacteria infection while she didn't have insurance, the same antibiotic could be purchased for use in her aquarium -, over the counter. Right here on Amazon. In fact, the tablets you purchase for your fish's BV are the same look, feel and dose that our own doctor's prescribe. Hmm, must be nice to be a fish :)
