Strong, light weight, stable.
Love the product! It’s several solutions in one. I have easily rigged up a lanyard to use with the little hole on the end of one of the legs and it will clip easily to my belt. More importantly, it’s strong, lightweight and stable ... and I can use it with my iPhone, too, with my iPhone bracket. Most importantly, it holds my DSLR easily and steadily, so that, with my remote shutter release, this wonderful tool replaces a big, clunky tripod in almost all cases.

This is a great product for me
This is a great product for me. It fits and holds my Nikon D7500 with no problem and the grip couldn`t be any better. This mini tripod holds my Nikon D90 loaded with a battery pack that holds two EL-EN batteries with no problem. I find It great for shooting pics or taking videos of children's parties and other events. Really nice product. Three thumbs up!!!

pretty much as advertised, good price
Light, easy to pack and carry relatively sturdy. easy to use. Since the unit is plastic and the screw is probably aluminium I'll probably use it as a grip to carry dive lights. Ought to be practically impervious to salt water. Works will with my Nikonos as a body pod, but is awkward with a d810 or a d850. Works well as a small ttop-pod with wide to short telephotos, Longer teles sometimes lack a collar and don't mount tripods at their center of gravity but sometimes rely on brute force stabilization the platform is plastic and looks fragile. Since the whole unit pivots; so not so great for tracking shots but could work well if your stalking a shot and shooting from a prone position. On the other hand it works ok with micro/macro lenses, but I think one will still have to hold the position manually.

Great little Tripod
I actually bought this for a portable recorder (the Tascam DR-40). I was looking for something that would operate as a comfortable pistol grip and reduce some surface noise while recording with the built in mic. So it was a bonus that this also folds out to a tripod. It's portable, comfortable and quick to change from handheld to tripod. IMPORTANT: One this to watch out for, when I first got it, I tried to swing out one of the tripod legs and it seemed stuck, and with very little force it snapped. They sent me a new one and while new one was still very stiff, I worked it out a little more and it swung out just fine. So be careful when you first get it and be very gentle with the legs, they're held in place with a light plastic cuff. Overall, I'm very happy with it, and I plan to get a shockmount to go with it.

We're happy with the tripod nonetheless
Beware that essentially all reviews under this product were about their camera strap. We're happy with the tripod nonetheless. The lock button is the feature I was after, and the hand held feature was the other reason for buying this product.

Works for me
Great little tripod. Multifunctional too. I love the quality. I added a small Arca-Swiss plate receiver. Awesome for my YouTube videos.

Great value!
I wanted a good monopod for my mirrorless camera but the one I wanted was too expensive for me. In fact it was six times as much as this Altura. I expected it to be serviceable but was pleasantly surprised at how well it was made. The extending column worked and locked well, the tripod base was solid and everything was well packaged and in perfect condition when I received it. I recommend it for smaller cameras.

Perfect for Travel, Easy to Grab, But Not For Big Lenses
This is a great little product and I use it almost every day. Whether I am shooting in my workshop or out on trails, this tripod is always nearby. The unit is so lightweight I usually just leave it attached to one of my camera bodies and collapse it to use as a vertical camera grip. Balancing it can be a little tricky though, and I with the feet had a slightly bigger footprint. I would exercise extreme caution when using this with camera bodies with a heavy lens. I tried using this when hiking one time with my Nikon D600 and a 24-85mm lens and one stiff breeze sent the whole camera tumbling, damaging the lens. Make sure to balance the lens over the front leg of the tripod for the best results, and I would not recommend using this with something bigger than a kit lens. Even the 24-85 Kit lens might be a bit large for this guy. Running it with a small piece of glass like a 50mm prime is a dream though, as the lightweight nature makes it easy to set up for low angle shots. This is one piece of kit I always have in my bag.

Best Monopod tripod ever!!!!
After doing a lot of research, I decide for this model of Altura Photo and I'm glad about my decision, the tripod is great, have all legs reinforced with metal, so is very stable and strong, even when you place the monopod on top of the tripod and I have a big Sony DSLR, as monopod is outstanding as well, because it comes with all accessories for you GO PRO, Smartphone, the head ball, so is versatile for all type of device and secure for all my gear, at the same time the monopod is very tall and strong, thank to the excellent tripod. so the product is really a hit!

Nearly perfect monopod/tripod kit for multi-device usage
Love this kit! Well made and sturdy items for multi-device use. Included bag is of good quality and sure to last the life of the kit. Had a little trouble getting all 5 sections of the monopod to deploy first time, however, after a couple iterations its as smooth as silk. Two changes to the kit would make this a 5 star home run: metal GoPro adapter and a 1/4"-20 Shoulder screw (such as this https://www.amazon.com/Xeminor-Practical-Shoulder-Release-Connection/dp/B07MW2K8J2/ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_1?keywords=Xeminor+practical+shoulder+screw&qid=1557773664&s=gateway&sr=8-1-fkmrnull) for attaching a wrist strap to the monopod when its used as a selfie stick.
